AAP FactCheck - Disinformation pages are spreading false claims that Pauline Hanson funded a viral TV special exposing allegations about "high-profile figures".
The posts claim Senator Hanson contributed $246,000 to the special, called "Seeking the Truth, Finding Justice", and that it had more than 2.5 million views in just 12 hours.
But there is no record of the documentary and no mention of it on any of One Nation's social media channels.
Other Facebook pages have previously made near-identical claims that celebrities including Tom Hanks, Whoopi Goldberg and a relative of Pope Leo XIV have contributed $246,000 to a documentary with the same name.
Senator Hanson's name has been linked to the fake story more recently, apparently deceiving many social media users.
One post, published by a page called 'Civic Lens', claims the documentary was released ahead of a major lawsuit.
"The program is reportedly laying groundwork for a major lawsuit involving 11 high-profile figures, with Fatima Payman named as the first expected target," the post claims.
The post features a composite image of Senator Hanson and Senator Fatima Payman, and a link in the comments leads to a website that expands on the false claims.
