Virtual seminar on Employment Law changes - The Bristol Press

BRISTOL — The Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce invite people to attend a virtual seminar on upcoming changes to Employment Law.

The seminar, which can be viewed through Microsoft Teams, will be held July 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be hosted by Attorney Shel D. Myers of Kainen, Escalera and McHale, PC. It will provide an update on employment law developments that become effective on Oct. 1.

Katie D’Agostino, president and CEO of the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce, said the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce has worked with Myers for years. She said the Chamber holds this program annually to keep members apprised of changing laws.

“We like to let our members, especially small business owners know about employment law changes,” she said. “Attorney Myers does a fantastic job in presenting the information in a way that is easily digestible. He also is willing to work with people’s employee handbooks to make sure that they are compliant.”

The seminar is $20 to attend for Chamber members and $35 for non-members. People can register by visiting business.centralctchambers.org/event-calendar.
