The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on April 30, 2026 arrest former broadcaster Jay Sonza after a Pasay court issued a warrant over the alleged spread of false information about the health of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Sonza’s lawyer, Mark Tolentino, confirmed the arrest, which took place in Quezon City. He said the former journalist was now under NBI custody.
