On the latest episode of Hot off the Wire (morning update): President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump each made stops Monday in their final appeals to voters ahead of Tuesday's midterm elections. Election results in many locations may not be know Tuesday night, notably in places with competitive races. Trump teases a potential presidential run with plans for an announcement next Tuesday, Nov. 15. World leaders are making the case for tougher action to tackle global warming, as this year’s international climate talks in Egypt heard growing calls for fossil fuel companies to help pay for the damage they have helped cause to the planet. The Multi-State Lottery Association says that the Powerball drawing was delayed and it’s likely that the results won’t be known until later Tuesday. The record-breaking $1.9 billion Powerball drawing scheduled for Monday night was delayed because a participating lottery had issues processing sales. North Korea denied American claims it's shipping artillery shells and ammunition to Russia for use in its war against the Ukraine, and on Tuesday accused the United States of lying.
