Binance and WazirX’s ongoing business battle has turned this week towards another dramatic controversy. WazirX accused Binance on Wednesday, February 8, of spreading false and misleading information against it in the market. The development comes just days after Binance said it has severed ties with WazirX, citing failure to meet desired negotiations from the end of WazirX as the main reason. The feud between these two crypto exchanges has been going on since last August and is only getting more intense with time.
“WazirX users need not worry about Binance’s announcement. Users can continue to trade, deposit and withdraw their funds as usual,” Binance published a blog post on Feb. 3 stating that it had decided to ban WazirX from using its services.
Binance has claimed that its ultimatum to WazirX to retract its statements has gone unanswered, leading it to cut all ties with the latter.
“Zanmai has made a series of misleading claims regarding Binance’s alleged role in and responsibility for the management of the WazirX exchange. The false and misleading narrative put forth to the public misrepresented Binance as maintaining control over WazirX users’ assets, user activity, and the platform’s operations. The reality is that Binance provided Zanmai wallet services only as a technical solution to their operations of the WazirX exchange.
