A bombshell investigation has raised serious questions about the DEA's handling of the fentanyl crisis in New Mexico. According to current and former DEA agents, authorities monitored major fentanyl shipments between 2023 and 2025 but, in some cases, chose not to seize the drugs in an effort to build larger cases against trafficking networks.
