What’s Happening at Amazon?
Amazon expects its corporate workforce to shrink in the coming years as it adopts more artificial intelligence (AI) tools and agents.
“Today, we have over 1,000 Generative AI services and applications in progress or built, but at our scale, that’s a small fraction of what we will ultimately build,” CEO Andy Jassy said in a memo to staff on June 17.

Amodei believes Generative AI could eliminate half of all entry-level white-collar jobs in the next 1-5 years.
