WESTFIELD — A Westfield police officer has filed a lawsuit against the city alleging it failed to pay officers that worked regular and overtime shifts.
The lawsuit was filed in Westfield District Court by officer Jason Perron, who has served on the force for nearly 24 years.
In the lawsuit, Perron alleges that he and other members of the force typically worked four consecutive eight-and-a-half-hour shifts during a seven-day work week.
