Changes to gender pay gap reporting

In 2021, the Gender Pay Gap Information Act was introduced in Ireland. This Act currently applies to businesses employing over 250 people, however the aim is to lower this to organisations with over 50 employs within three years.

The Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 will require businesses to reveal pay gaps between their male and female employees, regardless of seniority. These statistics will be disclosed on an annual basis.

Using this information, the Government shall review the gender pay gap so that they can make a proper assessment.

Although the Act does not suggest that any penalties shall be given to companies with a significant gender pay gap, this information can cause massive damage...
