A whistleblower can move forward with a False Claims Act suit alleging two California staffing companies defrauded the Covid-19 pandemic Paycheck Protection Program, a federal district court said.
Whistleblower American Taxpayers Fighting Fraud LLC, formerly known as Relator LLC, adequately alleged that iLink Employers Company and iLink Business Management Inc., and their CEO acted with sufficient intent to defraud, Judge R. Gary Klausner of the US District for the Central District of California said in a March 20 order denying a motion to dismiss.
