Whistleblower allegedly leaks personal information on 4,500 ICE agents - thecanary.co

An anonymous whistleblower from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has allegedly leaked the personal information of 4,500 ICE and border patrol agents after the cold-blooded murder of Renee Nicole Good.

The information was leaked to ICE List – an open journalistic project created by Crust News. It aims to collect and share information that will hold ICE members legally accountable. The list also includes the names of officials, professionals, journalists, and other people who have enabled or supported ICE.

It is the largest ever DHS staff data leak. It includes names, work emails, telephone numbers, roles, and some resumé data, including previous jobs of federal immigration staff.

According to Dominick Skinner, who leads the volunteer-run website, the data includes around 1,800 on-the-ground agents and 150 supervisors. The organisation’s early analysis suggests that DHS still employs around 80% of the staff identified by the leak.

Skinner told The Daily Beast that since the murder of Renee Nicole Good:

I’ve had hotel staff sending post-it notes, bar staff sending DHS IDs, and loads of people saying their neighbour is an agent.

ICE thugs

Before this leak, the ICE List had been in possession of the details of approximately 2,000 federal immigration staff members. This includes some names it has chosen not to make public.
