The whistleblower who claimed a connection between entertainer Cho Sae-ho and organized crime has publicly expressed gratitude toward Maeil Broadcasting Network (MBN)'s 'News Fighter,' drawing attention to the reason behind this gesture.
On social media, whistleblower A posted a screenshot of a news article announcing Cho Sae-ho’s agency’s intent to take legal action, along with a link to the MBN 'News Fighter' broadcast. A wrote, “The host of MBN’s 'News Fighter' said exactly what I wanted to say. Thank you.”
During the broadcast, anchor Kim Myoung-jun commented, “Of course, celebrities are not obligated to respond to every suspicion or issue raised. However, this is not a trivial matter like crossing at a red light.” He continued, “Cho Sae-ho has yet to provide a clear explanation. Wouldn’t it be best to hear directly from him?”
He further stated, “When apologizing or clarifying, it is important to address the core of what was asked or what people are curious about. There are suspicions about whether the man Cho Sae-ho is seen with in the photo, with his arm around him, is a key figure in organized crime. Yet, he simply dismisses it as just an acquaintance.”
Additionally, Kim criticized, “No one said he is definitely a gangster. We don’t even know what business the man is in or if they were simply drinking together. What is really going on?”
