Lansing — A whistleblower brought concerns about political donor Fay Beydoun's use of a $20 million state grant directly to Michigan Economic Development Corp. CEO Quentin Messer, but Messer told her Beydoun was a "personal friend," according to records filed by Attorney General Dana Nessel's office.
"... (A)t that moment, she realized nothing was going to get done about the appropriation," the 30-page affidavit said of the whistleblower's reaction to Messer's statement.
