Broward County is moving too slow in reviewing allegations of wrongdoing, gross mismanagement and wasteful spending, a new audit concludes. Government employees can sometimes wait as long as a year and a half before there’s a resolution to their complaints.

The newly concluded audit, commissioned by the county’s auditor, has revealed rampant problems within the agency charged with investigating managers and employees for wrongdoing.
