Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins is facing a whistleblower lawsuit from former election integrity director Nicholas La Strada.
La Strada’s attorneys are holding a news conference Monday at 10 a.m. outside the Cole County Courthouse in Jefferson City to announce the lawsuit.
According to a press release, they allege La Strada was fired after reporting misconduct within the secretary of state’s office, including an alleged plan to fabricate evidence for a federal hearing and overturn a certified municipal election result.
La Strada, whom Hoskins appointed, is currently overseas serving as a U.S. election observer in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
