Whistleblower Lawyer Arvind Bob Khurana Discusses A New Jersey Pathology Practice that Paid $2.4 Million to Resolve False Claims Act Violation Allegations - Digital Journal

Whistleblower lawyer Arvind Bob Khurana (https://medicarewhistleblowercenter.com/qui-tam-attorney-new-jersey/) released a new blog post talking about a New Jersey pathology practice that Paid $2.4 Million to resolve False Claims Act violation allegations. The pathology practice is called Princeton Pathology Services P.A. and according to the blog post, they have paid $2.4 Million to resolve allegations of violating the False Claims Act.

According to the whistleblower lawyer Arvind Bob Khurana’s blog post, “The civil settlement resolves allegations that arose from a lawsuit filed under the whistleblower provisions of the False Claims Act. The whistleblower will receive $456,000 as a part of the federal share of the settlement.”

Medicaid whistleblower lawyer Bob Khurana also mentions in the blog post that the pathology practice made false representations in connection with submissions to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) under Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) between Jan. 1, 2015, and Dec. 31, 2020.

The lawyer explains in the blog post that Princeton Pathology refused to provide written support for medical records despite the CPT codes requiring written analysis from a pathologist. Princeton Pathology charged Medicare for tests that were not required, which resulted in Medicare paying more than it should have.
