[OSEN = Kim Nayeon, reporter] The whistleblower who claimed entertainer Cho Sae-ho’s alleged involvement with organized crime has protested against Cho Sae-ho’s side’s explanation and announced additional revelations.
On the 5th, whistleblower A, who alleged Cho Sae-ho’s ties to organized crime, posted on their social media account, “The posts I’ve made are causing massive social backlash, and comedian Cho Sae-ho must be in great difficulty. I also know who the famous influencers, celebrities, and public officials connected to Mr. Choi are.”
Earlier, A claimed that Cho Sae-ho had deep ties to Mr. Choi, a member of an organized crime group involved in operating domestic and international illegal gambling sites and money laundering. They shared photos of Cho Sae-ho and Mr. Choi embracing or walking shoulder-to-shoulder, stating, “Under the pretense of being acquaintances, (Cho Sae-ho received high-priced gifts from Mr. Choi and promoted a franchise run by an organized crime member. He frequently associated with Mr. Choi, a key figure in one of the largest violent organizations in the Geochang region, drinking alcohol and accepting expensive gifts. Is this acceptable behavior for a national comedian?”
In response, Cho Sae-ho’s agency, A2Z Entertainment, dismissed the claims, stating, “The allegations that Cho Sae-ho received high-priced gifts from a specific acquaintance are entirely untrue.” They emphasized that Mr. Choi was merely an acquaintance met through various events...
