[OSEN=Kim Chae-yeon Reporter] The agency of actor Song Ha-yun claimed that the individual who exposed her alleged school violence was sent to prosecutors for defamation, but the whistleblower has refuted this, stating it is entirely untrue.
A, who recently raised allegations of school violence against Song, told OSEN, “Song’s legal representatives at Law Firm Jieum stated, ‘The police initially decided not to transfer the case, but Song raised a lawful objection, leading to supplementary investigations. As a result, charges of defamation, threats, and obstruction of business against the suspect were all recognized, and the case was transferred to prosecutors on March 19 with a recommendation for indictment.’ However, this is not factual.”
A explained, “The case sent to prosecutors due to Song’s objection was part of a procedure for the prosecutor’s review based on the police’s initial decision not to transfer. Afterward, the police conducted supplementary investigations in response to the prosecutor’s request and submitted the results to the prosecutors.”
A further emphasized, “I directly confirmed with the investigating officer that the police had only sent the supplementary investigation results to the prosecutors and had not separately decided to transfer the case with a recommendation for indictment.”
