A whistleblower has settled her second lawsuit with as many Palm Beach County cities.

Christine Ferrigan will get more than $818,000 from Delray Beach after she was fired last year.

Ferrigan was a wastewater inspector with the city, who had brought attention to a contamination issue which was later confirmed by the Florida Department of Health. She went to the state with her concerns after being ignored by her supervisors.

Ferrigan settled a similar lawsuit with the City of Boca Raton several years ago. She received $322,000 in that case in which Ferrigan alleged being fired for bringing water treatment problems in that city to the state's attention.

The Delray Beach City Commission approved Ferrigan's lawsuit last week.
