Ex-employee claims SS&C fired staff who reported executive's alleged abuse to HR
A whistleblower complaint filed October 17, 2025, against SS&C Technologies, Inc. is putting the spotlight on how HR handles executive misconduct and employee retaliation.
Montgomery Ostrander, who served as Director of Sales Operations at SS&C Technologies, claims in his lawsuit that the company promised him a compensation package that included a $160,000 base salary, stock options, a 20% equity grant, an annual bonus, and commissions. Ostrander alleges that after he delivered results—including achieving 145% of his sales goals—the company reduced his bonus, withheld equity and commissions, and diverted opportunities.
According to the complaint, Ostrander and other team members reported their supervisor, Julie Alfin, for a pattern of verbal abuse and intimidation. The complaint describes public belittling, profanity-laced critiques, threats about “career consequences,” and blacklisting of employees who challenged Alfin’s directives. Ostrander alleges that these behaviors were widely known within the company, with multiple employees coming forward and providing corroborating emails and chat messages.
