The Bengaluru daycare inside Capgemini's HAL campus, where toddlers were allegedly abused, had 50-60 children enrolled, NDTV reported. A previous whistleblower reportedly informed the daycare supervisor about the abuse, but was later fired. Notably, Capgemini has temporarily shut down the daycare facility following allegations that toddlers were assaulted and forced into narrow water-filled pipes.
The Centre has sent a notice to Meta regarding WhatsApp's username feature and sought a detailed explanation about it within three days, as per multiple reports. It has also reportedly directed the tech giant to halt the rollout of the feature until consultation on the issue is over. The feature allows users to be contacted without phone numbers.
