Taylor Swift has been granted a temporary restraining order against a 45-year-old ex-convict from Colorado who has allegedly been stalking her and making bizarre claims, including that she is the mother of his child.
Brian Jason Wagner, the man identified in court documents, has been showing up uninvited at Swift's Los Angeles residence since July 2024, with repeated visits in May of this year. According to Swift's filing, he has made numerous false claims about their supposed relationship, including statements about living at her property and being romantically involved with the singer. These incidents have escalated to the point where Swift felt compelled to seek legal protection through the courts.
The restraining order, which will remain in effect until June 30, requires Wagner to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from both Swift and her home. Swift's security team conducted a background check on Wagner and discovered he has a criminal record, adding to the singer's concerns about her safety. They also found evidence that while incarcerated, Wagner had written "lengthy communications" detailing a fabricated romantic relationship with the global superstar.
