Whoopi Goldberg completely shut down the recent false claims made by podcast host Joe Rogan during his podcast with guest Donald Trump, with the TV host bringing video evidence to back herself up.
On the new episode of The View on Monday, Oct. 28, Goldberg took a moment to address Rogan's claims about how Trump was treated during his appearance on the show, fact-checking his statements. Goldberg began by saying, "There's a lot of 'fake news' coming up, so we're gonna clear some of it up as it happens."

She first clarified that the episode was in 2011, while Rogan claimed it occurred in 2015 or 2016, during Trump's run for president. Rogan also claimed that Trump had a warm welcome with earnest hugs, being introduced as "our friend."
Instead, a clip from the episode showed Barbara Walters introducing Trump as "my friend," with Goldberg wearing quite a stern expression on her face, which got Monday's audience laughing.
“So, Barbara was her usual polite self as she was with every guest. But did I look warm and fuzzy?" Goldberg explained. "But because I respect Barbara, she said be polite to guests no matter what. And for the most part, I got through it. I did it, like I do now.”
