Republican candidate Donald Trump will hold a press conference to target Democrat contender Kamala Harris for a price rise. But, he will do so a day after the Labor Department announced year-over-year inflation reached its lowest level in more than three years in July.

After targeting Kamala Harris for not holding a press conference, Donald Trump has announced to address a press conference at his Bedminster golf club on Thursday afternoon. He will talk to reporters and answer their questions a day before his Democrat rival unveils her economic agenda. Attacking Kamala Harris, he said Wednesday she refuses to do any interviews or press conferences, almost 30 days now, she has not done an interview. He added that she had not attended any press conference because she was not smart or intelligent. The Trump campaign has said the vice president is trying to try to "duck and hide" from the media.

Donald Trump pushes false claims

The former president held a press conference a week earlier at
his Mar-a-Lago estate last Thursday. He replied to questions ranging from his recent attacks on Harris to immigration to reproductive rights for more than an hour. Engaging in hot exchanges with reporters, he also tried to push false claims on the outcome of the 2020 election and the size of the crowd at his Jan. 6, 2021, rally before the attacks on the U.S. Capitol.
