Williams-Killackey named Quarles’ national chair of labor, employment - Wisconsin Law Journal

Judith Williams-Killackey, a partner at Quarles & Brady, has been named national chair of the firm’s labor and employment practice group.

In her new role, she’ll oversee 80 attorneys and staff in Quarles’ labor and employment group, providing mentorship and serving as a guide.

“I thought it would be a good challenge and good opportunity for me to take on this role,” Williams-Killackey said.

She became interested in labor and employment law while working in the litigation area at a firm and was assigned a labor and employment case.

“I realized labor and employment law would always be something new and that was something that attracted me,” Williams-Killackey said. “I help clients with their labor relations, with their arbitrations. A lot of what I do is counseling — helping clients stay out of court.”

Williams-Killackey earned her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She also earned a certificate from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
