A Ghanaian woman who publicly accused veteran gospel musician Kweku Gyasi of neglecting a child he allegedly fathered has reportedly been arrested following revelations that her claims were false.
The controversy began when the woman, identified as Hannah, appeared on Sompa Nkomo hosted by Oheneni Adazoa on Sompa Nkomo.
During the live broadcast, she claimed she had a past romantic relationship with the musician which resulted in a child, now about 10 years old. She further alleged that he had abandoned both her and the child and refused to take responsibility.
The claims quickly went viral, drawing widespread public attention and putting the gospel singer under intense scrutiny.
Responding during a phone-in segment on the same program, Kweku Gyasi strongly denied the allegations, insisting he did not know the woman and had never had any form of relationship with her. He described the claims as entirely false.
To resolve the matter, both parties agreed to undergo a DNA test. The results later confirmed that Kweku Gyasi is not the biological father of the child, effectively clearing his name.
Despite the outcome, reports suggest the woman initially maintained her claims even after the results became public.
