DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A woman was charged Monday with allegedly making a false report that she was sexually assaulted at a Dauphin County restaurant.
Swatara Township Police filed a misdemeanor charge of false report against 26-year-old Priscilla Guzman, of Harrisburg, after the investigation into an alleged sexual assault at El Rancho Mexican Restaurant found the report to be false, according to court documents.
Police said Guzman reported multiple people sexually assaulted her at the restaurant on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9. She specifically identified multiple people in her initial report.
Surveillance video from the business was collected during the investigation, and police said there was no video footage of any assault.
Police also collected statements from other employees who would have been at the restaurant during the reported assault, and they did not match what she said. It was noted in court documents that Guzman’s stories were inconsistent.
Guzman has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 30.
