STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Brooklyn woman scammed a not-for-profit agency in New Dorp Beach by filing about $129,000 in false claims for services that her disabled child never received, authorities allege.
Eve Lam, 50, of Shore Road, surrendered to a member of the District Attorney’s Detective Squad and was arraigned in Supreme Court in St. George on Wednesday, according to court documents.
She stands accused of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and falsifying business records in a 93-count indictment handed down by Staten Island grand jury on Nov. 21.
