WOODSTOCK, N.Y. – Town Tree Committee members are seeking to have $1,000 fines and jail time included as penalties for violations in the proposed revisions in the Scenic Overlay District.
The penalties are needed to have property owners take the law seriously, Committee Chairman Michael Veitch said during a Town Board public hearing on Tuesday.
