Workplace investigation platform Case IQ acquires hotline service ... - BetaKit - Canadian Startup News

Ottawa-based workplace investigation software company Case IQ has acquired Vancouver-based Whistleblower Security (WBS), which offers a whistleblowing hotline and case reporting platform. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In a statement, Case IQ said by combining the two solutions—WBS’ is targeted to incident reporters while Case IQ’s is targeted to investigators—the company can better help organizations improve their internal investigations from end to end.

“By uniting a whistleblowing hotline with our specialized case management solution, Case IQ aims to invest and further build a robust intake capability to deliver unparalleled efficiency with actionable insights,” Case IQ said in a statement.

Case IQ, which provides a platform for workplace investigation management, said it sees telephone hotlines as a “crucial” element of case management intake. Case IQ’s platform provides workplace case managers, such as human resources, ethics, or fraud investigators, a place to organize documentation, analytics, and case histories related to workplace investigations.

WBS allows employees to report incidents to case managers anonymously through its phone hotline and online platform IntegrityCounts. The IntegrityCounts portal collects, assigns, and tracks reported cases, giving management insights into cases that need immediate attention.
