WARSAW — A proposed local law would provide raises for a variety of Wyoming County positions.
The local law is similar to previous measures approved annually by the county’s Board of Supervisors. It would take effect 45 days after approval and would be subject to permissive referendum.
A public hearing will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Government Center at 143 North Main St. in Warsaw.
Salaries would include:
- The county clerk salary would increase $2,640 to $90,640 annually.
- The county treasurer salary would increase $2,762 to $94,812 annually.
- The county sheriff salary would increase $5,780 to $121,382 annually.
- The hourly wage for the Republican elections commissioner would increase 50 cents per hour for an annual salary equivalent of $17,771.
- The hourly wage for the Democratic elections commissioner would increase 50 cents per hour for an annual salary equivalent of $17,771.
- The county attorney salary would increase by $1,993 to $68,434 annually.
- The county highway superintendent salary would increase $2,675 to $91,850 annually.
- The public defender salary would increase $2,431 to $83,462 annually.
- The public health commissioner salary would increase $2,946 to $101,148 annually.
- The director of Real Property Tax Services director salary would increase $2,050 to $84,050 annually.
- The Department of Social Services commissioner salary would increase $2,399 to $82,367 annually.
- The Veterans Services director salary would increase $1,625 to $55,776 annually.
