In response, his agency acknowledged that he accompanied a woman to a motel but denied any inappropriate relationship, asserting legal action.
On October 23, a post on social media accused Yang Hong-won of entering a motel with another woman. The writer, Mr. A, questioned, "Isn’t it wrong for a newlywed groom to go to a motel with a woman?"
Mr. A claimed Yang recently drank with two women at his home in Suwon City, Gyeonggi Province, and later moved to a motel with one of them. He also released videos and call recordings allegedly captured at the time. Additionally, Mr. A disclosed the social media account of the woman he claimed accompanied Yang to the motel and sent a direct message to Yang’s wife, Won Hyun-joo. He reportedly urged her to check card payment records, stating, "I have something to say about your husband."
As the controversy spread, Yang’s agency, AP Alchemy, issued an official statement the same day, denying the allegations. The agency claimed, "The accuser’s claims are false, and the provided materials are maliciously edited. The accuser attempted to extort money by threatening Yang and the woman."
