There’s no stopping YouTube channel “PweDelie TV” from making false claims about supposed Marcos money overseas being released to the Philippines during the presidency of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

On Sept. 8, PweDelie TV used images of a meeting between World Bank Group President Ajay Banga and Marcos at the sidelines of an Asean summit, to claim that World Bank funds supposedly owned by the president’s father, the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, have been released to the Philippines.

At the beginning of the video, a spurious document with the letterhead of the Office of the President, titled “Reconfirmation of Trust Deposit in Trust to 9 World Bank and 7 IMF-El Banco Español Offshore Capital de TVM,” was flashed, sans any explanation, leaving viewers to make any connection.

The spurious trust deposit document was “signed” by among others, Marcos, US President Gerald Ford, and even Queen Elizabeth.

It was followed by videos of Marcos’s participation in various Asean events hosted by Indonesia in resort island of Bali.

As mentioned in our previous fact-checks of PweDelie videos, these questionable documents are often used by Marcos defenders to claim that the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos was a rich lawyer and did not need to steal from government coffers during his strongman rule from 1972 to 1986.
