Zero Motorcycles wage-and-hour $425K class action settlement - Top Class Actions

Zero Motorcycles will pay $425,000 to resolve claims it failed to pay its workers proper wages.

The settlement benefits individuals who worked for Zero Motorcycles in California between Dec. 16, 2015, and June 13, 2021.

Zero Motorcycles manufactures and sells numerous motorcycle models including street bikes and dual sport bikes. According to the company’s website, the California-based company rises past the competition with high performance electric technology.

Although the company touts impressive accolades, a class action lawsuit against Zero Motorcycles claims the motorcycle manufacturer fails to properly pay its employees.

Zero Motorcycles employees allege the company violates California law by failing to calculate correct regular rates of pay and forcing employees to work off the clock. These violations allegedly caused the company to not pay minimum wage and overtime wages.

According to the plaintiffs, the company also denied them rest and meal breaks, accurate wage statements, separation wages and related penalties.

The wage-and-hour class action lawsuit includes claims under California labor laws such as the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).

Zero Motorcycles hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $425,000 to resolve these California labor law allegations.

Under the terms of the settlement, class members can collect a payment based on the number of workweeks they worked during the class period. Individuals who worked a higher number of workweeks will...
