Zimi Seh accused gets $500,000 bail as lawyer warns against false claims - Jamaica Star

The second man charged in connection with the violent caught-on-camera altercation at the Zimi Seh Beach Party has been granted $500,000 bail, while his attorney is warning social media users against making false claims about his criminal record.

Ramon Brown, a 28-year-old deejay and vendor of St Andrew, was offered bail when he returned to the St Ann's Bay Parish Court this morning.

Brown is charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, unlawful wounding and inflicting grievous bodily harm in connection with the August 9 incident at Puerto Seco Beach in Discovery Bay, St Ann, where two brothers, aged 15 and 17, were allegedly beaten.

Parish Judge Kemoy McEkron had deferred a bail application last Thursday pending the receipt of Brown's antecedent.

According to his attorney, Stephen Palmer, the antecedent showed that Brown had no previous convictions or pending charges locally or overseas.

In granting bail, the court ordered Brown to surrender his travel documents and report to the nearest police station twice weekly. He was also warned not to interfere with the complainants.

Palmer argued that his client was not a flight risk, noting that Brown had voluntarily turned himself in to the police.

The attorney also told the court that Brown is the main breadwinner for his family and has three children and his mother depending on him.

Meanwhile, Palmer issued a warning to persons making claims online about his client.
