Zoll Medical Corp. exited a widow’s suit alleging a flawed defibrillator vest caused her husband’s death, as a Tennessee federal court said the plaintiff—now representing herself—is unable to prove her product liability claims because she failed to provide an expert.

The LifeVest is designed to detect a threatening heartbeat pattern and administer a shock to restore normal rhythm.
