12 employers temporarily banned from TFW Program - HRD America

  • The employer didn’t keep documents that showed they met the conditions of employing a foreign national, for a period of 6 years, starting on the first day the foreign national worked for them.
  • The employer couldn’t show that the description they gave for the job on the Labour Market Impact Assessment application was true, for a period of 6 years, starting on the first day the foreign national worked for them.
  • The employer didn't give the inspector the documents they asked for.
  • The pay or working conditions didn't match, or were not better than, what was listed on the offer of employment, or the job was not the same as what was listed on the offer of employment.
  • The employer didn't put in enough effort to make sure the workplace was free of any of the following:
    • physical abuse
    • sexual abuse
    • psychological abuse
    • financial abuse
    • reprisal

The employer must also pay a fine of $164,000.

Meanwhile, Farmtrux Logistics will not be able to access the program until Feb. 4, 2023 for not providing documents that an inspector asked for.

Recently, the federal government temporarily banned 24 Canadian metropolitan areas from accessing a feature of the TFW Program, in accordance with a policy change that Ottawa announced in 2024.

Ottawa has also imposed temporary TFW Program access ban to the following companies so far this year:
