JOHANNESBURG - Whistleblower Athol Williams says it might be difficult to prosecute those responsible for State Capture because there might no witnesses to testify.

Williams has raised concerns about the lack of protection for whistleblowers.

He fled the country in 2021 after threats to his life.

He had testified at the commission implicating nearly 40 people and several companies.

"Firstly on this point of whistleblowers being national heroes, I don't believe anyone believes that because I have not seen any action to back that and that is my biggest concern with that," he said.
