Boeing Defeats Pilots' Suit for Lost Wages After 737 MAX Crashes - Bloomberg Law

Pilots failed to show Boeing Co. cost them income after two deadly crashes led to the grounding of the company’s 737 MAX planes, a federal judge in Illinois said Monday.

The pilots argued that their certifications to fly other plane models lapsed when they committed to the 737 MAX, which Boeing allegedly assured them was safe and would continue operating for years. But their strict products liability, negligence, fraudulent concealment, and fraudulent misrepresentation claims all fail, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said.
