Costco, Workers' Nearly $2.3 Million Wage Deal Wins Court Nod - Bloomberg Law

Costco Wholesale Corp. and workers who say it ran afoul of wage-and-hour laws may move forward with a nearly $2.3 million settlement resolving their class action claims, a federal judge in California said.

The conditionally certified class includes about 29,000 current and former employees who worked at one of the members-only wholesaler’s Golden State locations at some point between June 2015 and the present, the US District Court for the Northern District of California said.

The deal covers nonexempt employees who haven’t sued Costco over any of the claims released in the settlement and who received a semi-annual bonus ...
