Employment lawyers certainly earn their corn - Business Weekly

Candidates who apply for jobs then suddenly vanish from contact when companies respond and bosses who ignore applications from job seekers are together worsening a damaging disconnect in a tough recruitment marketplace.

That was the keynote finding of a report commissioned by Cambridge Network and it falls at a time when companies have never had to fight so hard to recruit top talent.

The competition for good people is manic and even off-the-wall salaries and great remuneration packages are not making much of a dent in a massive wall of vacancies.

Add to that Brexit-induced obstacles to recruiting overseas staff and having to go through Home Office hoops when they do find people they want to hire and you can appreciate why companies need good employment sector lawyers to hold their hands.

The Legal 500 Guide includes Birketts, Greenwoods Legal and Mills & Reeve in its Tier 1 ratings for the segment in East Anglia with Ashtons Legal, Howes Percival and Penningtons Manches Cooper enjoying Tier 2 rankings and BDB Pitmans nestling into a crowded Tier 3.
