A slew of cases involving discrimination and anti-retaliation claims under the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act and a case involving whether a condo association owes a duty to a co-owner who was injured in a common area are among the dozen matters on the agenda for November arguments at the Michigan Supreme Court.

People v. Sale — Oral argument will address if the trial court erred by excluding extrinsic evidence related to a witness’s character for truthfulness or untruthfulness and, if so, whether the exclusion of the extrinsic evidence was more likely than not outcome determinative.

Saidizand v. GoJet Airlines (MiLW 08-104826) — Per the court, this case is to be argued at same session as Adilovic v. Monroe LLC and Rayford v. American Home Roseville 1 LLC.
