MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice has received word that a former congressman from Quezon City is ready to divulge what he knows about the flood-control project scandal.
Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said Thursday, October 22 the upcoming whistleblower is expected to name key figures and how the scheme operated.
“His involvement in everything that is happening, how the scheme works. He will tell everything,” Remulla told reporters, as quoted in a STAR report.
“He will pinpoint (individuals). Because this congressman is no longer incumbent.”
Remulla said the call came early yesterday and that his office was preparing to work with the individual.
Remulla added that the law will take its course: “We’ll wait (for him). I will work on that.”
For now, has has not identified the former lawmaker.
