Fact check: Duchess Meghan photographed and filmed at queen's funeral - USA TODAY

The claim: Duchess Meghan was denied entry to Queen Elizabeth II's funeral

Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on Sept. 19 was an international who's who, with guests including a long list of royals and world leaders such as the Japanese emperor and President Joe Biden.

Social media users are claiming a member from the queen's own family was barred from entering, however.

A video shared on Facebook on Sept. 17 claims Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, was denied entry to the funeral at the command of the late queen.

"SO SAD for Meghan as she was DENIED to join THE FUNERAL by QUEEN'S LAST ORDER," reads the post's caption.

The Facebook video garnered several thousands views, while another one making the same claim was viewed more than 500,000 times before it was deleted.

Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, stepped down from their royal duties in 2020.

But the claim is false. Media coverage from various outlets proves Meghan attended the queen's funeral.

The Facebook user couldn't be reached for comment.

Meghan is listed alongside other members of the royal family on the funeral's Order of Service.

Her attendance at the funeral was also reported on by numerous outlets, including Time and Vanity Fair.
