Upon investigation, this claim was found to be misleading. According to media reports from May 2025, an airstrike by Myanmar’s military targeted a village in the country’s central Sagaing Region. The attack struck a school in Ohe Htein Twin village, located in Tabayin (Depayin) Township, killing around 20 students and two teachers, and injuring dozens of others. The reports clearly attribute the attack to the Myanmar military and do not mention any involvement by India in the incident.
Separately, there were reports of a clash between ULFA (I) militants and the Indian Army at an Assam base camp, during which three soldiers were injured. An official Indian Army statement clarified that unidentified terrorists opened fire on the Kakopathar Company post from a moving vehicle around midnight. The troops immediately retaliated while taking precautions to prevent civilian casualties in the surrounding area on October 17, 2025.
