A claim is going viral on X, posted by some Pakistan-based accounts. A user named ‘TacticalTribun’ posted the claim on 12 August 2025. They said “Pentagon Official, Mike Reese, says there is no evidence of Pakistani aircraft losses, rejecting IAF claims.”
An account with the name ‘NavCom24’ claimed “Senior US Pentagon official Mike Reese says no indications of aircraft losses on the Pakistani side.”
In its investigation the DFRAC team established that the viral claim is FAKE. We searched the viral statement on the internet but found no news article, report for any official statement published in this regard.
We also searched the official social media handles and the website of the US military but nothing similar was found there as well.
Hence, we can conclude that the viral statement that Pentagon official, Mike Reese said there is no evidence of Pakistani aircraft losses, rejecting IAF claims is FAKE. We found no credible sources to support the claim made by Pakistan-based users.
