THE UK establishment has had years of experience at feeding distorted information into the media in order to cause confusion and division amongst those it sees as a threat.
It is doing this now in the independence debate in Scotland. The Respect Scottish Sovereignty (RSS) group is being subjected to this treatment right now, and some independence supporters are falling for their propaganda.
Let me give you a clear example of this: RSS looked carefully at the Scotland Act, the legislation which established the “devolved” Scottish Parliament.

We observed that on the issue of UN covenants on human rights there is a clear opportunity for the Scottish people to get legal authority to exercise “direct democracy” in Scotland and thereby to have legal and effective referendums on any civil or political issue at any time, provided they could get support from a small percentage of the electorate to do this.
We also discovered that these UN covenants could be consolidated into Scots law by the Scottish Parliament entirely legally under the Scotland Act, and that the Scottish Human Rights Commission were urging the Scottish Parliament to do this, and we wrote to the First Minister about this and at the same time attempted to put a petition on this before the Scottish Parliament.
