FAMLI Values: Maryland’s Reissued Proposed Regulations on Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Claims - JD Supra

On October 28, 2025, the Maryland Department of Labor (MDOL) reissued proposed regulations to implement the Claims chapter (04) of the state’s Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) law. This release follows the MDOL’s earlier reissuance of four other chapters—General Provisions (01), Contributions (02), Equivalent Private Insurance Plans (EPIPs) (03), and Dispute Resolution (05)—which we previously discussed. The most recent version of the Claims chapter largely preserves the framework of the prior proposed regulations but makes certain changes that may raise additional concerns for employers.
