GE Aerospace to Pay $9.4M to Resolve False Claims Act Violations - Bloomberg Law

GE Aerospace, a division of General Electric Co., will pay $9.41 million to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by selling parts to the US Army and US Navy that were not properly inspected, according to the Justice Department on Monday.

The aircraft engine manufacturer’s Lynn, Mass., plant admits that, at times from July 24, 2012, to Dec. 31, 2019, it failed to conduct required parts inspections, said the DOJ. It then sold engines containing parts that did not meet required specifications to military customers.
