GOP governor candidate Danielle Neuschwanger lands endorsement from Michael Flynn - Colorado Newsline

With two weeks to go before the Colorado Republican Party’s statewide assembly, GOP gubernatorial candidate Danielle Neuschwanger picked up an endorsement from former President Donald Trump’s onetime national security advisor Michael Flynn.

“It is of the utmost importance to secure constitutional governors across all 50 states to ensure the future of our great nation. It is why it gives me great honor to fully endorse and support Danielle Neuschwanger for Colorado governor,” Flynn said in a brief video posted Tuesday to Neuschwanger’s candidate Facebook page. “Danielle is the only candidate that can beat incumbent Jared Polis in the November election.”

It’s one of the highest-profile endorsements in the crowded field of Republican candidates hoping to face Polis in November.

Flynn said that Neuschwanger’s Colorado roots and small business ownership make her a strong contender. Neuschwanger is a real estate agent and founded a small HVAC company with her husband, according to her campaign website.

The controversial Flynn has been among the most prominent voices in conservative circles promoting the false claim that Trump lost the 2020 presidential election due to widespread voter fraud. He was subpoenaed by the House of Representatives committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, but exercised his Fifth Amendment right not to answer the committee’s questions when he faced the committee in early March.
